We are fortunate to have cold night temperatures that keep our snow fresh, great groomers that can work magic and a little edge of the lake effect snow that adds an inch or so every few days.  All in all, the trails are incredible.  More great events each week.  See Local Races.

Two of the most common comments we hear are "We never knew you were here" and "We already ate.  I wish we had known."  Actually the number one comment is "We always want to come, but you are always closed."  Yes, that happens.  The secret is come when we are open.  Then it works out for everyone.  See you soon!!!

The Rivers Eatery will be open Tuesday and Wendesday 5-8 in addition to the hours listed below during the week of January 24-30th

This is an excellent time to come in.  We have a big screen TV, WIFI and one tenth the people that you see in the summer time.  During ski events, we are again the place to be, but on other nights, we are fairly quiet.  Stop by for the same great food with a few less people.

Discover Wisconsin Taping

We were fortunate to have The Discover Wisconsin film crew at our place for a shooting.  They are doing a story on pizza and Wisconsin Cheese.  We are proud to use Burnett Cheese, Mount Sterling Organic Goat Cheese and Black River Blue Cheese...all from Wisconsin!  The show will air in March.

Fall Fest and the Birkie Trail Run

We saw more great events put on by great leaders and hard working locals.  We all just smiled as the downtown turned into a street fair and a thousand people came to run on the birkie trail.

It never ends.  The northwoods are beautifl this time of year.  Biking, hiking and hunting are all excellent.  Just wear your orange and choose your trails wisely.  Enjoy the day then stop by another of the northwoods' finest assets for a beer and a pizza with your friends.

A Fat Tire Weekend for the record books!

Wow. What a great event.  Thousands of happy people and hundreds of volunteers and staff made it happen.  Thanks to the Fat Man Gary Crandall and his spporting cast for not only filling the town of Cable but for putting on a world-class event in our back yard.

To the finishers and champions that chose to spend time with us before and after the race, thank you!  We were glad to see you all had a great time.
