Ashland Bakery Bread is Back! Available Thursdays 10:00 AM until Gone Cranberry Walnut Sourdough Daily Sourdough Garlic Asiago French Baguette Roasted Red Pepper & Parmesan Kalamata Olive Sourdough Roasted Potato Garlic 25 loaves. First come, first serve. Redbery Books comes to The Ideal Market! There will be one more great reason to visit downtown Cable this summer - Redbery Books. Redbery, a well-respected independent book store that has been a favorite in the area for several years, will be taking over a significant portion of the Market's floor space. While the businesses themselves are separate, The Ideal Market and Redbery share a commitment to enhancing Cable's residents' and visitors' shopping and dining experience. Will the market still carry grass-fed beef, buffalo, happy pork, local produce, organic groceries, coffee, Riverberry Yogurt, deli sandwiches, soups, salads, organic milk, Balbin sculptures, beer and wine? Yes, we will. We're simply displaying fewer samples of each item on our shelves. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Carbo Loading Results are In! It's official! Four of the top six skaters and each of the top two classic skiers ate stone oven pizza at the Rivers Eatery within one month of competing in the American Birkebeiner. While the data is inferential, some believe the pizza itself may have directly contributed to their success. It is important to remember that good pizza is only one part of a balanced ski training program. Micro-brewed beer, 1919 root beer, thousands of kilometers of hill repeats, sprints and distance training also add to a champion skier's chances for success. Congrats to the CXC skiers and our friend Bjorn who all did so well in this year's event. Hikers, Bikers, Outdoors-likers welcome! The Ideal Market and Rivers Eatery is located next to some of the greatest woodland mountain biking trails in the country. Bike hundreds of miles of CAMBA trails starting right out our back door. See what's waiting for your family, friends or bike group. Springbrook Organic Dairy Milk now available Springbrook Organic Dairy's Cream Line Milk comes from the Depies family farm nestled in the woods of northwestern Wisconsin. The Depies family has been committed to organic agriculture since 1990 and recently added a Grade A dairy to the farmstead. Milk is produced with pride and packaged in half gallon glass returnable bottles. Experience 100 percent organic Jersey milk. Gently shake to mix the cream or pour off and add it to your coffee or favorite recipe. Fresh milk arrives each Friday.
World-class organic grass fed beef available We have an expanded variety of Hidden Vue Farms Grass-Fed Beef. These are animals humanely and organically raised in the Marengo River Valley. We have ribeye, new york strip, filet mignon, sirloin and round steaks; sirloin tip roasts, shoulder roasts; and hamburger available in patties or by the pound. We also feature this beef on our Marengo River Pizza. The Marengo is a spicy BBQ ground beef, mushroom and blue cheese pizza. It's been a big hit. Need a free range ham or pork roast? We have several free-range pork hams and roasts from Maple Hill Farms. Our customers could not be happier with the flavor and quality of the pork the Cogger family raises. We also have sausage, steaks and chops. Three providers of local and/organic coffee We feature Peace and Flamenco Organic Coffees from Minneapolis and Backroads Coffee from Hayward. You can buy them by the cup or by the pound. A small coffee is still $1. Lendved Headwear at Ideal Market We're pleased to have a limited number of Kristine Lendved's hats in the store. Stop by and see her artistic brand and functional style of hats. What to Expect Located in a renovated historic building that once served as a hub for Cable WI in the 1930's, The Ideal Market provides fresh, locally grown, organic and conventional foods, as well as sundries and other essential items to the area's residents and visitors.
You can enjoy a cup of fair trade organic coffee, pastries or an yogurt sundae from one of the best seats in town. The large front patio and inside window seating offers the perfect place to watch local events, meet with friends, or to simply experience the flow of life in a northern town. Connected to The Market is a former warehouse/apartment building that we call The Rivers Eatery. With its 15' pine ceilings, spacious windows, clay tile, original wood floors, and a six-thousand pound stone oven, The Rivers provides a unique smoke-free northwoods dining experience. Our hand made individual pizzas are the best on the block...possibly in town. Beyond that, you can decide. We hope to see you soon.
